Our History

Locally owned and operated, the team at B&C Utilities, Inc. has over 30 years of water and sewer experience. Licensed, bonded, and insured, B&C provides quality utility work in Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley, and Colleton Counties.

Founded by Arthur “Bud” Hinson in 1993 and now owned and operated by his sons, Charles Rooke and Jonathan Rooke, the company has maintained a long-standing relationship with many local municipalities, cities, towns, and public service districts in the area. B&C Utilities, Inc. has been a Charleston Water Systems-approved contractor since its incorporation. We take pride in our work and always strive to provide our clients with the best.

B&C Utilities Today

We focus on water and sewer construction, working with public and private sector clients. We’re fully licensed, bonded, and insured and proud to be an approved contractor for Charleston Water Systems. Over the years, we’ve worked on projects for Charleston Water System, Seabrook Island Utility Commty, North Charleston Sewer Distission, Kiawah Island Utilirict, James Island Public Service District, Charleston County Parks and Recreation, Charleston Southern University, City of Folly Beach, SC Ports Authority and many others in the area.
